BIG BROTHER BIG SISTER PROGRAM

Lunch & Learn was recently held to mark the beginning of an exciting partnership between Big Brothers Big Sisters and Interstate Batteries. Several Interstaters came to learn more about this new partnership, but for those who didn’t make it; it’s not too late to participate! This is a great way to truly have a lifelong impact on a child.

In inner-city Dallas, the graduation rate of high school students is 57%. Compare with this — at-risk kids taking part in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program have a graduation rate of 87%!  See the impact?

Added to this, kids who have a Big Brother or Big Sister are:

· 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs

· 27% less likely to begin using alcohol

· 52% less likely to skip school
