Corporate Challenge 2007
Dressed for the Opening Ceremonies!
“The Richardson Corporate Challenge is an Olympic style competition involving as many as 22 athletic and non-athletic events held in late August through early October. The event kicks off with an opening ceremony and after plenty of competition ends with a closing ceremony. Companies compete in events ranging from softball to volleyball and billiards to golf. Activities are scheduled during the week after normal business hours and on weekends. Employees, spouses, and Retirees are eligible to participate. The benefits are endless! Put the Corporate Challenge in your company’s budget and see for yourself what you get in return. For starters, Camaraderie, boosted morale, teamwork, pride and reduced stress plus tons of company fun! “ Overall, thanks was given to all participating companies who raise $90,100 for Special Olympics in 2007.
Interstate Batteries has participated in the last 2 Corporate Challenge events. For 2007, we were involved in the following sports: 15K Bike, Dominos, 5K Run, Badminton, Basketball, Billiards, Bowling, Darts, Fishing, Flag Football, Golf, Horseshoes, Kickball, Miniature Golf, Soccer, Softball, Sprint, Table Tennis, Tennis, Texas Hold’em, Volleyball & Volunteering. We ranked in the top 4 taking home 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 5 bronze medals; 4 – 4th place, 3 – 5th place, 4 – 6th place medals. We also raised money with the following projects: A Dessert Contest, Car Wash and Pie-in-the-Face Auctions, plus raffle ticket sales and team contributions brought in a total of $4,487 from Interstate team members for Special Olympics!!!
