I completed a project for one of my former employers whereby we created a 'talent database', comprising information about the hidden skills pool available within the company.

We were amazed at how many valuable skills were being overlooked and under-utilized; often because the employee's job role did not need that particular ability. For example, I discovered an individual in software development who could speak fluent French. Another person was formerly an events organizer for a local charity. There was also an engineer who had a flair for creative writing.

We quickly realized that there was a great deal of cross-functional cost-reducing resources that could be shared by the relevant areas with a need for those skills. Not only that, it added an extra element of job satisfaction for a team member by providing an outlet for them to use a skill that they really enjoyed but were not able to express in their current positions!

I think from what I have viewed here - such a project would be of great value for your organization and your Link team members would be the ideal people to gather this information. Now that's outrageously indispensible information for a company with a mission to provide its partners and team members "with opportunities which are profitable, rewarding and growth-oriented."

Best wishes
