Racing With Kyle Busch and Friends — Nov. 3
Interstate Batteries and I Am Second will host “Racing with Kyle Busch and Friends,” a free event open to the public on Nov. 3 at SpeedZone Dallas from 7 to 10 p.m. CST. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Busch and race Go Karts against him as well as other I Am Second friends including record speed motorcyclist Laura Klock and Sport fisherman James Caldemeyer.
“We are pleased to partner with Interstate Batteries to present this fun activity with Kyle Busch,” said John Humphrey, I Am Second project manager for e3 Partners Ministry, Inc., the organization behind the website. “In addition to being a great competitor on the track, we know Kyle will have fun competing with fans at this activity. We hope that our I am Second friends and NASCAR fans will enjoy the outing to Dallas Speedzone and the chance to interact with Kyle, while also learning more about the I am Second movement.”
Registration for racing will begin at 6 p.m. CST and winners must be present to win. In addition, the first 200 people in the gates will be able to participate in an autograph session with Busch.
Interstate Batteries and I Am Second will also sponsor the No. 18 Toyota Tundra driven by Kyle Busch, owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ Winstar World Casino 350 race on Nov. 5.
“I’m very excited to help spread the word about I Am Second this weekend,” said Interstate Batteries Chairman Norm Miller. “Kyle is just coming off his sixth truck win of the year, and he won the truck race here last year. It’s a tremendous opportunity to get some exposure for both I Am Second and Interstate Batteries here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where we have more than 3,000 outrageously dependable Interstate dealers.”
The race is scheduled to take place at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, at 7:30 p.m. CST. I Am Second and Interstate Batteries logos will be featured on the No. 18 truck. I Am Second, a movement meant to inspire people of all kinds to live for God and for others, will also have a special video truck at the speedway that will feature I am Second film testimonies documenting the personal struggle, transformation and hope of celebrities and everyday people who put Jesus first in their lives. In addition, outreach groups will be passing out I Am Second-themed materials to fans.
Launched in the Dallas-Fort Worth market in December 2008, I am Second’s films cover a variety of personal struggles, including abuse, addictions, pride, eating disorders, broken families and the search for success and meaning in life. Since its launch, the movement has spread virally across the globe, with the website receiving more than 3 million visits from 213 countries/regions.
