We have children so we do know a thing or two about batteries. Never use no-brand ones, but if you do come across branded disposables at bulk discount prices, go for them. Rechargeables are great to use, but we find they tend to go off in toys (due to infrequent usage). For used disposable batteries, we keep them in labeled storage jar/box/container for 'lightweights' such as clocks and remotes. Toys, portables and others we use either rechargeables or brand name disposables.
