Cool Head Earns High Praise
Interstate Batteries® often impresses with how well our batteries show grace under pressure. Recently, though, one Interstate All Battery Center® sales associate wowed a customer with stellar customer service and a level-headed attitude.
Financial professional Evans Rector in Tulsa, Okla., was getting ready to go a 10:30 a.m. business appointment Aug. 10 when his battery showed its age and almost died. It was 10:05 a.m. Because his office is directly across the street from an Interstate All Battery Center, “I took a chance and stopped by, leaving my vehicle running in case there wasn’t enough time to get a new battery,” Evans said.
Sales Associate Todd Grego cheerfully greeted Evans, who shared his story.
“I quickly told him I was on a very tight schedule, and if he couldn’t get me taken care of in 10 minutes, I’d just come back later. He didn’t flinch, but said ‘Let’s take a look.’”
Todd’s reliability wasn’t just saved for Evans. While Todd worked on his Toyota Land Cruiser, two other “Hey Todd, can you…” events occurred – and he patiently and professionally handled both of them without a sweat.
What impressed Evans so much was Todd’s cool, calm and positive attitude with time-sensitive requests, no hint of agitation or inconvenience and never missing a beat. The whole exchange took 15 minutes, start to finish.
Todd made sure Evans got the right battery – and as a bonus, “I was 5 minutes early to my appointment!” he said.
