JGRMX Rockets Out of the Gates for 2013 Season

Team Interstate's Justin Brayton
Team Interstate‘s 2013 season kicked off Saturday night as JGRMX returned to action in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship series.
Josh Grant and Justin Brayton represent the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX team this year, and Interstate Batteries® continues its sponsorship. The opening round at Angel Stadium of Anaheim is considered one of the major events of the year.
Unfortunately, the season began with a crash during practice for Brayton, resulting in a badly sprained left thumb and a cut right hand. Brayton qualified for the main event during the night’s last-chance qualifier. Grant transferred directly to the main event from his heat.
Both Brayton and Grant began the main event in the top 10. As the laps wound down and several riders crashed, the JGRMX duo stayed steady. Brayton finished the main event in 10th place, while Grant finished 11th. Former JGRMX rider Davi Millsaps won the event. The next race on the tour will be Saturday, Jan. 12, at Chase Field in Phoenix.
About the 2013 JGRMX team

Although the JGRMX lineup is different in 2013, it’s not exactly new. Grant rode for JGRMX in 2009 and 2010, giving the team its first Supercross and Motocross wins, along with a Gold Medal at X Games 16.
Brayton rode for the team in 2010 and 2011 and is considered one of the hardest-working and determined riders on the circuit. He was profiled in Friday’s edition of the Orange County Register.
