Grrrrreat way to step up in Miami
An act of vandalism mobilized the Miami community last week, and our independent Distributor pitched in to help.
Early Wednesday morning, vandals pried open the hoods of eight vans belonging to the Humane Society of Greater Miami. They stole eight batteries and cut several cables, leaving the vans undrivable.
The vans were essential for everyday operations such as taking the sick animals to hospitals and visiting warehouses for food and supplies.
After seeing reports of the vandalism on the local news, Leo Hernandez knew Interstate Batteries could help.
Leo, a Route Sales Manager at Interstate Batteries of Southern Miami and Florida Keys, coordinated with Nick Cassidy, the General Manager of the distributorship. They agreed to donate batteries and work with Interstate dealer AAA Auto Services to repair the vans for free.
Even though the Humane Society was disappointed in the cruel act, they were grateful for the generous donations and support of Interstate Batteries. Now they can get back on the streets to help the needy animals.
Way to go, Leo and Nick with Interstate Batteries of Southern Miami and Florida Keys! You showed true Servant’s Heart by giving back to your community.
